Giving
Overview
What are you passionate about? Your enthusiasm and generosity are critical to the continued growth and success of the Humanities Institute. Below you’ll find our key areas of need, but we are here to help donors dream big and realize their philanthropic goals.
Graduate Student Support
The costs associated with graduate school often extend well beyond tuition and books. They are expected to present their research at conferences, often conduct fieldwork or archival research, or would benefit from a reduction in their teaching requirements to complete their dissertations. The Humanities Institute is actively seeking donors to help alleviate these financial burdens so that our graduate students are highly competitive without incurring crippling debt.
Topic Area Support
Would you like to support research in a specific subject area? Is there a geographic region, population, or current event that you believe deserves more focus? The Humanities Institute can build speaker series, fellowships, or interdisciplinary initiatives on everything from the ethics of AI to the history of Pacific Island literature. If you can dream it, we can help make it happen.
Operating Support
Our goal is to be a 100% financially self-sufficient institute free from the risk of budget cuts, policy changes, downsizing, or other events that leave institutes vulnerable.
