Belonging to a Global Network is an exciting way to expand personal and professional connections in a particular part of the world, to collaborate with ±«Óãtv, and to engage with others who are interested in connecting.

±«Óãtv Network India’s membership is the largest network at ±«Óãtv and has a LinkedIn group with nearly 500 members! The goal for ±«Óãtv Network India is to build an interconnected community of support for ±«Óãtv students, alumni, and partners with connections to India throughout the world.

In fall 2023, ±«Óãtv World Vice President Dr. Kiki Caruson travelled to India to strengthen ±«Óãtv’s ties with the country. In addition to an action-packed agenda focused on partnerships, she and ±«Óãtv Provost Prasant Mohapatra hosted a delightful dinner for alumni in Hyderabad, the city from which most of ±«Óãtv's Indian students hail.

Expanding upon that visit ±«Óãtv World’s India country advisor, Aruna Dasgupta and Vanessa Martinez, ±«Óãtv’s assistant director of international community relations, organized one-on-one meetings with seven alumni over seven days in India’s capital city, New Delhi.

Ms. Dasgupta, who previously worked at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, recently participated in a workshop hosted by the U.S.-India Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment to discuss strategies to address women’s and girl’s participation in STEM fields. The discussion primarily focused on exploring pathways for U.S. and Indian universities to create more opportunities in this area. The U.S.-India Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment is a public-private partnership between the U.S. State Department, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum, and George Washington University.

This past May, ±«Óãtv World facilitated interactions between ±«Óãtv alumni living in India and newly admitted students who are set to begin their academic journeys in the fall. Two ±«Óãtv professors from the Muma College of Business, Professor Kaushik Dutta and Professor Han Reichgelt did a tour of India visiting alumni and new admits in New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. ±«Óãtv alumni assisting in the orientations for new students included Nidhi Parashar (MS-BAIS, 2019), Aditya Raj Mankani (BBA-Finance and Information Systems, 2003), and Ojas Rawal (Biomedical Sciences, 2008).
