Mental Health Resources
Crisis Hotlines
Free and confidential emotional support for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis including thoughts of suicide or homicide. All hotlines are available 24/7 with the exception of The Mobile Crisis Response Team. The MCRT is available to respond to concerns in the community but may not be able to respond immediately. Please call for further information.
Counseling
Counseling and therapeutic supports available for a broad range of personal and emotional concerns.
Psychiatry
Psychiatric services including medication evaluation and management.
Inpatient Stabilization
Short-term hospitalization for individuals in significant emotional distress. Some of these hospitals offer low-cost or sliding scale fee options as well as options for indigent clients.
Intensive Outpatient Programs
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) offer intensive partial day services to individuals that were recently hospitalized and are wanting to transition back into the community and/or for individuals that need a higher level of care than outpatient counseling.
Specialty Counseling / Psychiatry
Services that offer specialized treatment such as dialectical behavioral therapy, ECT, TMS, etc. Additionally, services that offer treatment for specific concerns and disorders such as eating disorders, substance abuse, gambling addictions, etc.
LGBTQ+ Friendly Therapists
LGBTQ+ affirmative therapists in the community. Some providers listed may provide letters for gender confirmation surgery and/or hormone therapy.
National Resources
National support organizations for individuals and families diagnosed with a mental health disorder. These organizations have local Hillsborough and/or ±«Óãtv chapters.
