Bulls iResearch is a comprehensive suite of software solutions powered by the Huron Research Suiteâ„¢ that is designed to facilitate exceptional research administration service delivery and compliance. In a complex regulatory environment, this suite streamlines research management at the ±«Óãtv.

is a paperless research notebook and lab manual solution designed to support the productivity and efficiency of research staff. Also known as ERN or Electronic Lab Notebooks, this service has been provided by the ±«Óãtv to aid researchers, instructors, and students in securely protecting lab research with automatic backups and comprehensive audit trails. 

Key Departments

Sponsored Research

The Office of Sponsored Research facilitates institutional approval for all proposal submissions, accepts and administers grant awards, and negotiates contracts and other research-related agreements on behalf of the ±«Óãtv. This office provides pre-award and post-award support to faculty researchers.

Research Integrity & Compliance

The Office of Research Integrity & Compliance manages multiple programs aimed to promote safe and ethical research at the University of South Florida, and uphold a culture of integrity. The RIC staff administer key research-related assurance and compliance programs required by federal and state agencies and programs for the conduct of research at ±«Óãtv.  

Institutional Research Effectiveness & Assessment (IREA)

The mission of IREA is to facilitate resarch excellence by identifying, mitigating and managing risks in order to realize operational efficiency. This department oversees audits, data integrity, data use agreements, research misconduct, research security, and subcontracting and subrecipient monitoring, 

Comparative Medicine

Comparative Medicine serves as the advocate for animals involved in research at the University of South Florida, and provides a fully accredited, centralized service of pathogen-free animal procurement, husbandry, health surveillance, and quality control, and is the Tampa Bay regional resource for laboratory animal-related services.

Research Development Institute

The Research Development Institute supports ±«Óãtv researchers with collaboration, strategic intelligence and grant writing. Our team helps researchers identify potential funding and prepare competitive proposals. We conduct informational workshops, provide proposal development support, assist with funding searches, and coordinate limited submissions.

±«Óãtv Research Administrator Program

The ±«Óãtv offers a certification program for employees who serve as research administrators. The designation, Certified Research Administrator-±«Óãtv (CRA-±«Óãtv), identifies the certification with ±«Óãtv and is aligned with recognized academic and professional credentialing.
