Dual Graduate Degree Program
Highly motivated and qualified ±«Óãtv engineering graduate students are invited to pursue the Dual Graduate Degree (DGD) with Engineering Management. The program allows graduate students the unique opportunity to earn an engineering graduate degree, either at the master's or doctoral level, simultaneously with the Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM). Up to nine credit hours of approved courses may be shared between the two graduate degrees, reducing the total number of credit hours required to complete both degrees. It is a great way for graduate students to complete the MSEM program with only one additional year of study.
The MSEM is a multidisciplinary graduate degree directed toward engineers who want to transition to technical management. Courses in the program involve concepts in engineering management, resource management, strategic planning, productivity, and process improvement. Students in the MSEM program learn technical management skills and develop managerial competence, which makes DGD graduates more appealing to potential employers.
Successful candidates must be pursuing an engineering graduate program, have a minimum GPA of 3.00, and have relevant work experience. Students must also meet or exceed the MSEM program admission requirements.
Interested students should apply for admission to the program through their graduate program coordinator and the MSEM program director, who should be consulted about any additional requirements for the program. Each graduate program maintains independent control over its admission criteria and procedures.
