±«Óãtv Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Student Education

Offered on ±«Óãtv's Tampa campus

The Exceptional Student Education Program is designed to prepare future teachers who work to enhance their students’ lives through advocacy, teaching and service.

Our program introduces students to diverse settings in which they may encounter individuals with special needs. Through field experiences and integrated coursework, students develop an informed perspective on the issues impacting individuals with exceptionalities. In the final year of the program, students have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in their coursework to a paid paraprofessional position with Hillsborough County Public Schools.

This is a cohort-style program with clinical experiences in grades K-12. Courses for earning an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement and Reading Endorsement are included.
