Debra Dobbs, PhD

Debra Dobbs, Ph.D. - Principal Investigator

Dr. Dobbs is a Professor and Interim Director School of Aging Studies. She has research interests in palliative, hospice and end-of-life care, and palliative care education in assisted living with a specific focus on providers of persons living with dementia. 

Dr. Lindsay Peterson

Lindsay Peterson, Ph.D. - Co-Investigator 

Dr. Peterson is an Assistant Research Professor at the School of Aging Studies. Dr. Peterson’s primary research interest is long-term care policy and practice and communication concerning decision-making, disaster planning, and advance care planning for older adults.

Hangdao Meng

 

Hongdao Meng, Ph.D. - Biostatistician 

Dr. Meng is a Professor at the School of Aging Studies. His research investigates the role of innovative integrative health interventions - including diet, physical activity, sleep, mind-body practices, and social engagement - in promoting positive aging among middle-aged and older adults. He directs the Positive Aging Lab (PAL).

 

William Haley, PhD

William Haley, Ph.D. - Intervention and Fidelity Treatment  

Dr. Haley is a Distinguished University Professor at the School of Aging Studies. Dr. Haley’s research focuses on stress, coping, and adaptation in older adults and their family members. Most of his research has examined the experiences of family caregivers who often face potentially overwhelming chronic strain. 

Jonathan Clapp

Jonathan Clapp, Ph.D. - Project Manager

Dr. Clapp is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the School of Aging Studies. Dr. Clapp’s background is in public health, biostatistics, and epidemiology. His research has been in both clinical trials and observational studies that are focused on cancer screening, cancer-related cognitive impairment, study design methodology, and longitudinal statistical analysis.
