Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy

Accounting Circle

The Accounting Circle was organized in 1990 to help the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy achieve its goals. The Accounting Circle represents a partnership among the faculty, students, and alumni and friends of the school. The mission of the Accounting Circle is to enhance student professional development and promote student and faculty success through opportunities that engage the Tampa Bay business community.

Membership

The ±«Óãtv Accounting Circle is comprised of professionals from Tampa Bay area firms, companies, and recruiting agencies. Each represented company has, at a minimum, one representative on the board of directors. Each board member serves a 3-year tenure, which is renewable at the board's discretion. Nominations are requested by the executive committee each spring and should be made by a board member or ±«Óãtv staff/faculty.

Events

The Accounting Circle sponsors several signature events for students and alumni: a semiannual graduation reception, a Welcome Back picnic each fall, and a CPA exam workshop. It also sponsors a two-day continuing professional education conference that allow participants to earn 16 CPE credits. The board also holds regular meetings in the fall and spring and meets for a half-day retreat at the end of the academic year.
