CAS Advising

Other Advising Support

Advisors within the College of Arts and Sciences provide more than just academic support to our students. Below are additional ways in which we support our students.

Orientation

We work with incoming students to facilitate their transition to ±«Óãtv. Orientation is often a student’s first point of contact on campus and advisors will be there to introduce them to their college and major and orient them to campus technologies.

Before you attend orientation, we will reach out to you with major-specific information and to ensure you are prepared for your on-campus experience.

You can learn more about the specifics of the orientation experience on our New Bulls page.

Referrals

We may not have all the answers but we are able to put you in touch with appropriate resources across campus.

These can include:

Programming

We strive to provide our students with a variety of programming. Topics range from major-specific events, career exploration, graduate school preparation, and more. We encourage you to participate in these programs as a way to diversify your undergraduate experience and prepare for the future.

We will share these opportunities through numerous digital platforms.

Outreach

In addition to appointments we will communicate with you in a variety of other fashions. These will include email, using your ±«Óãtv account, Canvas announcements, and social media.

We encourage our students to monitor official channels of communication regularly and follow their department social media channels to ensure awareness of all opportunities.
