As part of its ongoing expansion of arts programming across Tampa Bay, the ±«Óătv College of The Arts’ Contemporary Art Museum is presenting the inaugural GENERATOR exhibition on the St. Petersburg campus. GENERATOR is an expansion of ±«ÓătvCAM, which seeks to be an incubator of new ideas and a place for expanded artistic experimentation.

When Michael Congdon medically retired from the U.S. Army, a future in photography was not something he had in mind. But, thanks to an out-of-the-box suggestion from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and support from ±«Óătv staff and faculty, the former soldier found a passion for the artform and is already earning national exposure for his work.

±«Óătv art exhibit is reimagined for social distancing

Master of Fine Art students worked closely with ±«Óătv’s Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) staff to reimagine their thesis exhibition, “Battin’ a Hundred,” into an online experience of their final projects. Opening night was held virtually through a video conferencing call, with about 170 alumni, students, family and faculty attendees.
