±«Óătv recognized by Forbes as one of America’s top large employers and the best among Florida universities

The ±«Óătv is one of the country’s best large employers, according to a released by Forbes. ±«Óătv ranks No. 1 among all public or private universities in Florida.

“The ±«Óătv is committed to attracting and retaining top talent who allow us to continue delivering a high-quality education and experience for our students,” ±«Óătv President Rhea Law said. “Our faculty and staff also enhance the impact we make at ±«Óătv by conducting groundbreaking research, fostering meaningful community partnerships and innovating through bold solutions that serve our state and the nation. We deeply appreciate all that our team members do to make ±«Óătv a great place to learn, work and grow.”

To create the list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 217,000 people working for companies with at least 1,000 employees within the United States. Companies with more than 5,000 employees were deemed large employers. Survey participants were asked to rate their employer on various criteria, including salary, work, environment, training programs and advancement opportunities. Learn more about the .

Overall, ±«Óătv ranks No. 4 in Florida when compared to large employers across all industries.

“Our employees demonstrate a steadfast commitment to ±«Óătv’s mission,” said Angie Sklenka, senior vice president and chief human resources and administrative officer. “In our culture that values each employee's growth and development, everyone is dedicated to student success, making ±«Óătv a fulfilling place to work as we serve the greater community.”

±«Óătv employs approximately 16,000 people at campuses in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota-Manatee and ±«Óătv Health.
