Donelly fills the seat of John Ramil, ±«Óătv’s longest-serving trustee who has been on the board since it was first created in 2001 and held the role of board chair from 2010-2014.

Ramil is the retired president and chief executive officer of TECO Energy. In addition to serving on the BOT, he has been a director on the ±«Óătv Foundation Board, the ±«Óătv Alumni Board, the ±«Óătv Engineering College Advisory Board and the Gus Stavros Center for Free Enterprise Education Advocacy Board.  Ramil was named a ±«Óătv distinguished alumnus in 1999, he was awarded an honorary doctorate of engineering from ±«Óătv in 2016 and he has also received the President's Fellow Medallion.  Ramil earned both his bachelor's and master’s degrees in engineering from ±«Óătv.

“On behalf of the entire ±«Óătv community, I wish to thank John Ramil for his two decades of service as a trustee, during which time ±«Óătv has experienced unprecedented levels of success and growth.  The impact of John’s leadership can’t be overstated,” Law said.

±«Óătv plans to honor Ramil, whose term on the board expired, at a future BOT meeting.
