±«Óãtv team wins social marketing award for transportation study on benefits of neuromarketing in enhancing consumer information

Marketers want to get inside your mind − literally. That’s the focus of a multi-disciplinary study by ±«Óãtv’s College of Public Health (COPH), Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) in the College of Engineering and MUMA College of Business. Working with agencies in the public sector the group focused on the use of neuromarketing to test marketing materials and how people respond to messaging about certain needs, in this case, transportation options.

Twenty-seven ±«Óãtv faculty members were recognized on Tuesday, September 17 with Outstanding Research Achievement Awards. The COPH's Judith Rijnhart was recognized for her distinguished contributions to the field of epidemiology and expertise in mediation analysis to investigate causal mechanisms that underlie exposure and intervention effects of cognitive health outcomes in older adults.

Faculty effort yields new equipment for local fire department

Dr. Christine McGuire-Wolfe was awarded a $100,000 grant from FEMA for the Port Richey Fire Department. The funds were used to purchase a new mobile command unit/air truck and breathing apparatus, enhancing the department's response capabilities.
