Biography
Dr. Xinming (Simon) Ou is professor of Computer Science and Engineering at University of South Florida. After receiving his PhD from Princeton University in 2005, he worked as a post-doctoral research associate at Purdue University's Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS), and a research associate at Idaho National Laboratory. He joined Kansas State University as an assistant professor in 2006, where he was tenured and promoted to associate professor in 2012. He joined ±«Óãtv (±«Óãtv) in Tampa, Florida in 2015.
Research Interests
Human-centered approaches to understanding/improving cybersecurity, CPS and IoT security, intrusion and malware analysis, mobile systems security, and new programming paradigms for security.

Practical and hands-on cybersecurity; secure coding; computer systems security
