Dr. Kilpatrick earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1994,
and his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996
and 1999. He joined the faculty at ±«Óătv in 2004 after spending five years at Southeastern
Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana.

methods.
Dr. Kilpatrick’s research interests center on the psychological and physiological
aspects of aerobic exercise. Specifically, he studies the impact of aerobic exercise
on perceptual responses such as exertion, affect, and enjoyment. Collaborations with
colleagues in ±«Óătv Health include projects within special populations including cancer
survivors and patients with neurological disorders. A recent area of emphasis investigates
the impact of faith-based interventions on exercise and dietary behavior.
