Dr. Rosengrant's Virtual STEM Laboratory
Dr. David Rosengrant is a lifelong gamer. His research interests include physics education, virtual reality, eye-tracking technology, and video games as tools for teaching. He helped spearhead the ±«Óãtv's St. Petersburg campus STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) INQ Lab, a state-of-the-art facility that features robotics, 3D printing, laser printing, coding and virtual and augmented reality systems. The space allows aspiring educators and current faculty to infuse the latest in STEM into their teaching methods.
Dr. Rosengrant has published papers on topics as diverse as social inequities in physics and studying student attention using eye-tracking technology. Prior to joining ±«Óãtv, he was an Associate Professor in physics education at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, where he was named university-level Teacher of the Year in 2014 by the Georgia Science Teachers Association.
