Lisa Macri, Ph.D., MSW is the Director of Field Education and Instructor of Social Work Program at the ±«Óãtv's School of Social Work. Dr. Macri received her Master of Social Work degree from the Rutgers University School of Social Work in New Brunswick, NJ. She worked for the Rutgers Center on Violence Against Women and Children as a research associate and developed the continuing education certificate program in violence against women and children. Dr. Macri earned her doctoral degree from the University of Central Florida in the Public Affairs program, Social Work track. Her dissertation research focused on assessing the implementation of Title IX policies among a national sample of colleges and universities. She has taught a wide variety of social work courses and field seminar education courses for undergraduate and graduate social work students at the University of Central Florida and Fordham University.
Her practice and research areas include intimate partner violence, violence against women and children, sexual violence prevention and policy, feminist social work practice and social work education. Recent publications include the journals Sexual Abuse and Aging and Mental Health. Dr. Macri is passionate about social work education and about providing students with a field education experience that prepares them to be successful, thoughtful social work practitioners.
