M. Adelaida Restrepo and co-authors win 2024 Outstanding Paper Award

M. Adelaida Restrepo specializes in oral language and emergent literacy development and in prevention of academic difficulties in bilingual children.

M. Adelaida Restrepo, PhD, professor and chair in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, and her co-authors won the 2024 Outstanding Paper Award from the Journal for the Study of Education and Development in the thematic area of Applied Educational Research.

The annual award recognizes the work of authors whose articles are deemed particularly significant for theory, research, policy, and/or practice and is voted for by the editors within each thematic area. Restrepo and her coauthors' article is titled “A design-based implementation study of a preschool Spanish/English multi-tiered language curriculum.”
