The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting program, in partnership with ASL Bulls, hosted the annual ASL Bowl on Tuesday, March 25.
ASL Bulls is a ±«Óãtv student organization dedicated to inspiring students to learn ASL and fostering meaningful connections between Deaf and hearing communities.
The ASL Bowl brought together high school students from Hillsborough County public schools who are passionate about ASL for a friendly, yet competitive event aimed at promoting awareness, fluency, and appreciation of ASL and Deaf culture. The event featured multiple rounds of interactive competitions designed to test participants' ASL skills and knowledge.
A long-standing tradition of ASL Bulls, the ASL Bowl challenges high school students to demonstrate their understanding of Deaf culture and their expressive and receptive ASL skills. In the 2025 edition, students competed in various rounds, answering questions and showcasing their signing abilities.
Congratulations to Plant City High School for winning the ASL 1, ASL 3, and ASL 4 levels, and to Robinson High School for winning the ASL 2 level!
