Thanks to School of Social Work Assistant Professor of Instruction David Kilmnick, PhD, MSW, the ±«Óãtv Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG): LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association has been approved and officially established. Kilmnick is the contact with ±«Óãtv Human Resources and serves on the leadership team working with faculty from the Muma College of Business and ±«Óãtv Health.
The mission of the ±«Óãtv Pride ERG is to foster an inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) employees, enabling authenticity and optimal performance, thus fostering a sense of belonging at ±«Óãtv. The Pride ERG also supports ±«Óãtv's diversity goals by supporting the recruitment and retention of LGBTQ+ staff and faculty.
Over the last 30 years, Kilmnick has worked tirelessly to end homophobia and transphobia by building successful non-profit organizations that support and advocate for the LGBT communities in Long Island and New York City.
The ±«Óãtv Pride ERG is open to all ±«Óãtv employees who support the group's vision and mission.
