School of Social Work welcomes speaker to enhance students' clinical skills

Kumar presents to social work students.

Jenny Roth, MSW, LCSW, an assistant instructor of social work, welcomed Dayna Kumar, LPC, to her Field III class to give a presentation on structural family therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. Kumar offered valuable insights through dynamic case examples and an illustrative processing demonstration.

Guest speakers are a key component in developing students’ clinical knowledge and skills. Roth has welcomed several speakers who bring diverse clinical expertise aligned with students' coursework and field experiences. Roth has been supported in these efforts by adjunct instructors Kim Roberts, MSW, LCSW, Marie McBride, MSW, and Milena Gonzalez-Lam, MSW, LCSW.
