Dr. Catherine Rogers earned a B.A. in English and French from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a Baccalaureate in Linguistics from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium and a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Cognitive Science from Indiana University. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Speech Perception and Production in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at The Ohio State University, before coming to the ±«Óãtv in 1999 She currently serves as co-director of the Undergraduate Program for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Dr. Rogers' research focuses on the development of proficiency in second-language speech perception and production under a variety of listening and speaking conditions. She also collaborates with colleagues in in Audiology in research examining speech perception by listeners with hearing impairment and/or cochlear implants. These two research themes are unified by her broader interest in speech perception and production under conditions of linguistic or cognitive challenge.
