±«Óătv Trumpeters Fill The Florida Orchestra Trumpet Section for Janacek’s Sinfonietta

±«Óătv Professor of Trumpet Jay Coble and five other ±«Óătv trumpeters joined The Florida Orchestra for a performance of Sinfonietta by Czech composer Leoš Janáček.
The ±«Óătv trumpeters filled half of the massive twelve-trumpet section required to perform
the challenging and festive composition, which is seldom performed in concert.
±«Óătv representation in the trumpet lineup included undergraduate alumni Federico Montes
and Mike Fee as well as current graduate student Sam Massamilla. Also performing was
graduate alumnus Aric Brian and undergraduate alumnus Ken Brown, who now serves as
assistant principal trumpeter for The Florida Orchestra.
The performances of Janáček's Sinfonietta, part of The Florida Orchestra 50th anniversary
